Hi, i'm not german so i write in english if it's ok for you. I have a strange anomaly on my new 308 and i would like to know if your car does the same thing. The problem is that, with adaptive cruise turned on, if i turn spin the little wheel to turning on and turning off the cruise, central display sometimes show me the intra-veichles distance, sometimes it doesn't. I think I understand your problem. You can switch what the display in front of you shows witht the button at the end of the lever for activating the wipers. If cruise control is on the display shows you if it has recognized a car in front of you and wether it is in adaptive mode, which means car in front of you is slower as the speed you set, or not. You can now switch with the button mentioned above between digital speedometer, parameters from the onboard computer, navigation view and the initial display showing the cruise control. Cruise control stays on all the time and is not deactivated by that button. By turning off cruise control the display for the cruise control now shows the distance in seconds between your car and the car in front of you. All other display modes mentioned above remain the same.
So the behaviour you get is perfectly normal. Hope I could help you

Thank you for your help. The problem is that sometimes, when I turn off the cruise, the screen stays there but sometimes it disappear and after the compass screen there is the speed screen, not the distance screen. If you saw my videos you understand my doubts. Just out of curiosity, if you have the 5.2 smeg version, can you make a video to see your car beahviour? Thank you a lot.

Is still have the SMEG 5.1AR4 version. I hope for somebody posting version 5.2 on the internet. I can assure you that my car does not switch screens by simply turning cruise control on or off.

I switch the screen manually, this is not the problem. The problem is the distance's screen that sometime disappears when i turn off the cruise. Saw the videos

This is the problem. If you saw my videos, you can see that when i turn off cruise, sometimes the screen with distance in seconds disappear and after the compass's screen there is the speed's screen, not the distance's screen.

If this behaviour only occurs sometimes I would say this is some kind of software bug. As I said before my car does not do this. But I have SMEG 5.1 and not 5.2. Sorry I do not know what can I do to help you. Have you tried to ask your car dealer about this?

If this is a 5.2 bug, then all 5.2 software must have this bug, but some people does not has it. I don't understand.

I beleve, you have to drive more then 70km/h (see the Manual)
