Hello,

since i have done some easy mods to my ex 508SW and to my current RXH, i would like to share my experience.

One of my first modificatios was

BOOTLID AND TANK FLAP BUTTON BACKLIGHT MOD

You all know that, You come home in the night, engine off, lights off, and You want to open boot lid.
You have to search by touch the button and if You are unlucky, You press tank flap button.

So i was wondering, what can i do, or where can i get power to make the buttons shine all the times.
And there i saw, tne most eye catching button in car - electronic park brake button, shining bright red.
I looked into wiring diagrams, to get the wire colors and found solution.

This solution consist of adding diode bridge combining two sources of 12V from backlight and from active brake indication feeding the backlight of the two buttons.
Since i wanted to make it "clean way" without cutting of wires in original harness, i had to use two pairs of original VW 3PIN connectors. Those are described in schematic diagram below.

Then i covered by me made wiring with tesa tape to protect the wiring.

Photos will tell more

STORAGE SPACE NET

You know, we have lack of storage space in such nice car, unfortunately.

From my past "tuning days" with Skoda and VW group i knew that Super had nice rubber storage net.

Went to local Skoda dealer and ordered two pieces of 3T0 867 689 9B9.

To make the drilling precise, i have pressed the frame of rubber net against cardboard piece so i made sort of fingerprint of that storage space which, later, i used to drill holes to middle tunnel trim.
